Recognition after recognition, the BYU AdLab keeps taking the prize
During any given fall or winter semester, the AdLab will win award after award and even in a spring term, it’s no different.
The School of Communications advertising students continue to thrive with the following awards announced during Spring 2021:
The AdLab was ranked the #1 school of 2021 by the One Club School of the Year award. They were ranked the #2 school in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
“This is a huge accomplishment for the program and in a really difficult year with the pandemic, to be able to produce this many award winning projects, we have seen tremendous blessings!” said professor Jeff Sheets.
The Effie Collegiate program is modeled after the Effie United States competition and serves to educate, inspire and recognize tomorrow’s marketers.

The Telly Awards is a premier award recognizing achievements in film and television. This year, the AdLab won 25 of these exceptional awards.
“That’s a pretty rare and special achievement, and yet to do that in a pandemic year with all of the challenges and restrictions, that’s nothing short of remarkable! We are so grateful to the school leadership, the donors and faculty and staff in the Ad Sequence who helped the advertising students create some amazing work this year with grants, funding for entry fees, and mentoring all along the way,” Sheets said.
